Sintra Guided Tours from Lisbon (private and group)
There’s more to Sintra than meets the eye, and the best way to get the inside scoop is with a guided tour. We share the differences between the group and private tours below, but they’re both excellent, so you can’t go wrong.

Activity Overview
Why We Think It’s Great:
We went on the private tour and had a fantastic time! It’s honestly difficult to think of anything that we would have changed or preferred. This is what made it wonderful for us:
- Great price for a private tour.
- We loved the stops on the Wonders of Sintra tour
- We had plenty of time to shop, walk the gardens of the palace, and take our time enjoying the different sites
- Our tour guide shared colorful stories, great history, and kept us engaged on the 8-hour day.
- The lunch stop was a lovely local restaurant outside of Sintra. We were the only tourists there when we went. It didn’t have tour buses parked out front.
- We didn’t go inside the Palace, so one has to book that ticket separately. We heard, and the tour guide agreed that there is not much inside the palace. The experience is walking the gardens and seeing the outside.
- It was a convenient way to see Sintra from Lisbon.
