So you want to explore the historical area of Alfama while you’re in Lisbon, and we get it. There’s so much to see and learn about here that it can be overwhelming! A walking tour is an excellent way to get the best experience of this area.

We recommend two excellent tours, depending on whether you’re traveling with little ones or a group of grown-ups. Both tours cover Baixa, Alfama, and Carmo Square and include a pastel de nata tasting!

Why We Think It’s Great:

If you are going to do a walking tour while in Lisbon, do one that goes through Alfama. There is so much history, and it is easy to get lost. These tours are excellent options as they give you fascinating history and a taste (literally!) of the area. They’re well-priced and include some delicious treats!

These tours are family-friendly and quite similar, but they differ in that one is more fun for adults, and the other is great for families.
